Grand Heritage is built with both one- and two-story plans, and Elevon runs from about 1,400 to more than 4,300 square feet. A long one-story eave makes one clean, low line that reads well from the street. A two-story gable adds height and a peak worth tracing.

Two miles east of Lavon Lake.
Lavon sits on SH 78 about two miles east of Lavon Lake, the Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the East Fork of the Trinity River. The town lights its Christmas tree at City Hall, 120 School Road, in early December. In 2023, the celebration fell on Friday, Dec. 1, and included a Sip and Shop.

Lavon incorporated in 1980 with just 306 residents. The lake next door came first; the Corps finished Lavon Dam in 1953, and the reservoir now has about 83 miles of shoreline.
