Sachse keeps its own Trail of Lights, a city map of the most festive homes in town. We can't pick who makes the map, but we can give you a roofline worth the drive: custom-fit C9 LEDs on your eaves and peaks.
Mature trees and cul-de-sacs
Big trees, close rooflines.
Plenty of Sachse streets have mature trees, cul-de-sacs and greenbelt lots, with homes that range from three-bedroom ranches to Tudor- and Craftsman-style builds and custom estates. When branches reach toward the roof, we plan the strand layout around them so your line of lights stays unbroken.
Newer areas look different. Heritage Park's homes date from 2012 to 2014, and Woodbridge wraps around the Woodbridge Golf Club.
Miles Road lights up
The Christmas Extravaganza is on the calendar.
The city has already posted this year's Christmas Extravaganza for Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2026 at the Sachse City Complex on Sachse Road. A lighted parade runs down Miles Road at 6 pm, followed by the tree lighting at the Michael J. Felix Community Center at 7 pm.
Last season, the Trail of Lights map launched on Dec. 12 and stayed up into early January, covering homes like those on Dixie Circle.
Leaves, gutters and the 5-year plan
Mature trees fill gutters.
The same trees that make Sachse streets feel settled drop leaves into gutters every fall, often right before the lights go up. Our 5-Year Plan includes one standard gutter cleaning each year, within the approved scope, so the lights and the gutters get handled by the same crew.
Out past the neighborhoods, the 206-acre Muddy Creek Preserve on Pleasant Valley Road is a reminder of how much green space Sachse has kept.
